Talking to Trees
a spiritual and creative exploration
“There’s a revolution that needs to happen and it starts from inside each one of us. We need to wake up and fall in love with the Earth. Our personal and collective happiness and survival depends on it.”
― Thich Nhat Hanh

Antonina Mamzenko
Antonina is an artist, photographer and educator. Her work is focused on documentation of the lived human experience in all its richness and complexity, exploring the themes of identity and belonging; trauma and recovery; and the human connection with nature.
Antonina’s work has received numerous accolades and has appeared in a number of national and international publications and exhibitions, including the Royal Academy, Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, and Modern Art Oxford.
When she’s not parenting, teaching or photographing she can be found walking in the nearby woods as a way to ground herself and reconnect with her more-than-human kin.
Lisa Bengs
Lisa is a lifelong artist, down-to-Mother-Earth energy healer and soul guide.
Her work is focused on our connection/disconnection to our bodies, Earth and each other; our relationship with our inner children (who we really are) and our ancestors, who’ve been shaping us for generations.
She’s found companionship with trees in childhood when she was climbing them to be held and enjoy a different kind of outlook. All grown up, she’s been rekindling this relationship with our plant kin in different ways, while still coming for their support and perspective on things.
